KLANG: There is a new twist in the case of the underaged girl who staged her own abduction in order to be with her 19-year-old boyfriend – another boy has been charged with raping her.
The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named, was initially charged in the juvenile court on Wednesday and no plea was recorded because neither his parents nor guardians were present.
His case was recalled yesterday after his parents came to court.
The boy was charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code with raping the 15-year-old girl in Bandar Sultan Suleiman in Port Klang at noon in December 2014. He pleaded guilty.
Magistrate Nor Asma Ahmad told the boy and his parents that a RM2,000 bail had been imposed and asked whether the family wanted to appeal.
The boy’s mother pleaded for a lower bail and said her husband also had to support his siblings.
Nor Asma fixed bail at RM1,000 with two sureties and set Jan 14 for mention together with the girl pending a Welfare Department report.
The boy was ordered to report to the nearest police station every fortnight until the case is completed and also to appoint a lawyer for himself.
DPP Syed Farid Syed Ali prosecuted. The parents later posted bail.
It is learned that the boy, who was expelled from a school in Bandar Sultan Suleiman in April last year, could have been the girl’s ex-boyfriend.
