12-year-old Prince Moulay El Hassan has just begun his royal duties but there is one protocol that he has taken a great dislike to, the royal tradition when one greets royalty in Morocco, they kiss their hand.
At every function and royal guard of honour he inspects, every single diplomat, statesman and servant greet Moulay Hassan, the Crown Prince of Morocco, as they are expected to do so - by bowing deeply and kissing his hand.
The only problem is the Crown Prince does not allow them to kiss his hand, which makes for hilarious viewing.
In the countless recorded public appearances that the prince has made recently, he abruptly snatches back his hand as it is about to be kissed and he does this with precise timing for every single hand kiss.
A video compilation of the prince's hilarious technique to avoid hand-kissing was recently compiled and posted to Imgur and Twitter and Prince Hassan's aversion to hand-kissing has started trending.
In the video, the young Prince walks briskly down a line of officials, shakes each of his subject's hand before sharply drawing it away whenever one bows down to kiss it, leaving the person puzzled as to how to react.
According to news reports, the prince began appearing in public with his father at official engagements last year but unlike his father, has not taken a liking to the age-old Moroccan tradition.
