Son of corporate figure found burnt to death

KUALA LUMPUR: The son of a corporate figure was found burnt to death at the balcony of a condominium in Taman Tun Dr Ismail early Saturday.

Brickfields district police chief ACP Azlee Abdullah confirmed the incident and said police have classified the case as sudden death.

According to a source, the mother of the victim saw smoke rising from the balcony when she woke up at around 4 am.

She forced open the locked iron grill to the balcony only to discover her son's remains on the floor.
The source added that the 20-year-old who was an economics and political student at a university abroad, had been depressed over his relationship with a girlfriend.

Also recovered near the body were two cans of petrol and a handphone. The victim had supposedly sent an SMS to the girl saying, "See you on the other side".

Azlee said the remains had been sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for a post mortem. -Bernama
