LEIPZIG: Sixteen people injured after a Ferris wheel caught fire at a festival in Leipzig have received hospital treatment, police said on Sunday, German news agency (dpa) reported.
Among the injured were four people with burns and one person who suffered injuries from a fall, police said.
None of the injured were in life-threatening conditions.
In connection with the fire, a total of 65 people received medical treatment, but the police did not provide any information on the age and gender of those injured.
The incident occurred when one of the Ferris wheel gondolas caught fire around 9pm (1900 GMT) on Saturday.
The fire then spread to the second gondola. Both were completely destroyed by fire, according to a dpa reporter at the scene.
