A man attacked and beat a man who was his wife's friend at Petronas Bukit Indah, Taman Bukit Indah here, yesterday.
Iskandar Puteri District Acting Chief of Police, Superintendent Ibrahim Mat Som said the 26-year-old complainant came forward to make a police report claiming to have been beaten by his friend's husband.
He said, following the report, the police had managed to arrest the 35-year-old suspect on the Kota Iskandar Highway, here at 12 noon yesterday.
"We have received the victim's report regarding the viral incident and have succeeded in making an arrest. The suspect also filed a police report.
"The results of the interrogation of the complainant and the suspect found that the incident was caused by jealousy," he told reporters today.
Earlier, a 46-second video went viral on social media showing the suspect punching and kicking his wife and the complainant without regard for the public in the area.-
