OJ Simpson dies at the age of 76 from cancer.
LOS ANGELES: The former star of the National Football League (NFL) of the United States, OJ Simpson, who was involved in the double murder controversy, died at the age of 76 due to cancer.
The matter was shared by his family members on the X platform.
"From the Simpson family, on April 10, our father, Orenthal James Simpson surrendered after battling cancer.
"He breathed his last by the side of family members including his children and grandchildren. During this period, his family hopes to be given a period of calm and respect for their privacy," according to Simpson's account here, on Thursday.
So far there is no other information including the location where the deceased breathed his last.
The deceased, who also made a name for himself as an actor, was previously tried for the brutal murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her boyfriend, Ron Goldman in 1995, but was found not guilty of the charge.
In 2017, the court released Simpson from prison under parole after being sentenced to nine years in prison for being involved in an armed robbery in 2008.
