PETALING JAYA: Umno Supreme Council member Lokman Noor Adam was arrested tonight just hours after giving his statement to police over the gay sex video scandal involving PKR Santubong Youth chief Muhammad Haziq Abdul Aziz and a man whom he claims is Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Faizul Ali Anui, special officer to Lokman, confirmed with FMT the arrest of the vocal Umno leader at his house in Kajang at 7.30pm.

Faizul said the arrest was made by Bukit Aman’s D5 division from its Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat, when contacted, could not confirm the arrest with FMT although he had heard about it.

“(I’m) waiting for the official report,” he said.

Faizul also said MIC member and former PKR vice-president N Gobalakrishnan was arrested with Lokman today as well.

The former Padang Serai MP was at his house at the time visiting Lokman, he said.

Gobalakrishnan was arrested for obstructing the police from carrying out their duties, Faizul said, as he attempted to stop the police from taking away the handphone of Lokman’s wife.

Faizul said he was at Lokman’s house when all this unfolded.

Earlier today, Lokman said he was questioned by the police over the videos. He had previously filed a police report over the leaked videos.

“I made a police report against those who circulated the obscene video and those who acted in them.

“But today, I am summoned by Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department’s officer.

“They want to seize both my phones and search my home. Truly, (this is the) law of the jungle,” Malaysiakini quoted Lokman as saying.

Former prime minister and Umno president Najib Razak also commented on Lokman’s statement.

He remarked that Lokman had committed a serious offence “for being too fast in commenting on the leaked videos”, which first made the rounds on social media on Tuesday.

“That is why the PH government wants to confiscate his handphone and search his house,” Najib claimed.

FMT was unable to reach Lokman.
