ACTRESS Julia Farhana Marin (pic) has claimed that a film producer asked her to seduce him during an audition three years ago.
Relating her experience to Mingguan Malaysia, the actress of Malay-Italian parentage said the producer also suggested that she touch him.
“I was really angry. It felt as though my dignity was being trampled on,” said the 26-year-old, who has appeared in Salon, The Bridge and Jibril.
Despite being offered acting roles in three dramas that he was producing, she said she rejected his advances.
“I did not feel comfortable. Why should I want to carry on?” she added.
On an unrelated note, Julia said she is fluent in Mandarin and loves nasi kandar.
> It was a gathering with a difference – a hubby brought his wife and his would-be second wife.
The event, billed Why I Chose Another Woman’s Husband, was held in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday by Pertubuhan Keluarga Harmoni, a non-governmental organisation.
Metro Ahad reported that the cordial event brought together wives in polygamous marriages so that they could meet their husbands’ spouses.
Among them was Su, 39, who was introduced to Ros, 37, who was going to wed her husband Rahiman Md Zin.
Rahiman, 41, said he was happy to see the two women he loved sitting at the same table and chatting in a friendly manner.
“I want the three of us to understand one another. And it is preparation for the next phase if I am fated to be with Ros,” he said.
Su said she was initially angry, but accepted the situation after Rahiman assured her that his love for her and their children would not diminish.
Ros admitted to feeling nervous about the meeting.
“Thankfully, it went well,” she said.
Another participant, Siti, 31, said she would be the second wife of a man later this year and that she was prepared to share him with another woman in a polygamous marriage.
