Perak police chief Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Hanafi said the policeman, who is with the Lenggong police station, was arrested today and the police would apply for an order to remand him at the Pangkalan Hulu Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

“The investigation paper on the case is being completed and will be handed over to the Perak prosecution director,” he said in a statement here today.

It is learned that the male teacher, who is also former Sinar Harian journalist in Kota Bharu, claimed that he suffered a broken left arm after two plainclothes policemen twisted it due to a misunderstanding.
