Head of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh, the incident occurred after a Proton Saga car lost control. and slipped in the right lane.
According to him, immediately after the incident, the victim who was driving a Nissan Almera stopped in front of the car and tried to provide assistance.
“At the same time, several other public vehicles also stopped on the left shoulder of the road to provide assistance.
"Suddenly, a Perodua Myvi car driven by a man crashed into the two victims who were providing assistance," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
In the meantime, Sarifudin said, the public is advised to be more careful and focus on personal safety when providing assistance to victims involved in road accidents, especially in winding areas and in dark conditions.
"It is also not recommended to stop in too many accident areas to avoid congestion as it will cause delays for security forces to provide assistance to accident victims," he said.
