Who Could Be A Candidate for PM, If PM Muhyiddin Has Lost The Majority Support in Parliament Come The September Vote.

If  PM Muhyiddin has lost majority support in Parliament come this September session ( We don't want to be accused of trying to overthrow the government through undemocratic means!..so lets just say September), who is in the running to take over from him as PM.

Whoever the candidate he / she must command a simple majority support of MP's in Parliament, or this issue will crop up again.

In a parliament of 122 Members, the magic number to get is 112 or more.

LET US LOOK AT TWO SCENARIO's IN PART 1

1. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim

If Pakatan Harapan can get their act together and they can get Warisan to support them, Datuk Seri Anwar could finally take his place as PM,

Warisan becomes the King maker in this equation as they could influence PSB, UPKO and the very stubborn PEJUANG to support Anwar.

Maybe an agreement can be made for Shafie Apdal to be appointed DPM.

HOWEVER , even then ..... the opposition bloc numbers will come up to  only 105 MP's

They will be still short of 7 MP's to reach 112.

So they will require the remaining 7MP's to come from the PN - UMNO Bloc

DAP - 42

PKR- 35

AMANAH- 11

WARISAN- 8

PSB-2

UPKO-1

PEJUANG- 4

Muda -1

Independent -1

?????- 7

Total- 112

Alternatively, Anwar and PH could negotiate with GPS to support them, as GPS is the only other party with a sizeable number of MP's

2. AN UMNO Leader someone like Dato Seri Ismail Sabri or an acceptable nominee from UMNO such as Tengku Razaleigh could EASILY become PM if UMNO and PN can come to terms and see eye to eye.

PN has already about 100 MP' in their fold.

While the 15 MP's who pulled back the support for PM Muhyiddin could come back to the fold if all agree to appoint a PM from UMNO.

( I doubt UMNO's 15 is going to support a PM from PN after going through all this!)

If this happens the UMNO -PN Bloc would easily get the numbers required with 115 MP's without any support from the opposition bloc.

PN- 100

UMNO (against Muhyiddin) - 15

@@@@@@@@@

UMNO (For Muhyiddin)- 23
UMNO (against Muhyiddin) - 15
MCA- 2
MIC- 1
Bersatu Asal - 6
Bersatu Azmin - 10
Bersatu UMNO - 15
Pas -18
GPS - 18
Bebas - 4
PBRS, PBS, STAR - 3

Total PN: 115

There is many other scenarios that could come in play especially when there is mention of a caretaker government, but the above seems to be the logical play if left to the MP's to decide.

Whoever the choice of PM, hereon you can expect a General Election 15 to be held once Malaysia attains herd immunity through our PICK / National Vaccination initiative.
