Jay Chou, Super Junior KL concerts postponed due to coronavirus

Jay Chou has postponed his Feb 29 concert in Malaysia to Aug 22.
With the novel coronavirus infecting its 18th person in Malaysia today, two upcoming concerts in the capital city have been postponed.
K-pop band Super Junior will postpone its March 1st concert to another unspecified date.
Organiser Star Planet said in a press statement the move was made “in view of protecting the health and safety of the artistes, performers, patrons and staff.”
“This decision has been reached in response to the health authorities’ worldwide efforts in taking preventive measures to curb and contain the escalating coronavirus epidemic.”
“The decision is also made due to the travel restrictions put in place which have caused unforeseen impacts on global logistics affecting the equipment shipping process.”

Meanwhile, Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, who was slated to perform on Feb 29 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, will perform on Aug 22 instead.
Tickets, which have been purchased through Ticketcharge, will remain valid for the new date.
“We understand that some fans may not be able to make the new date and these fans who have purchased their tickets through Ticketcharge may have their tickets refunded from Feb 13 to Feb 27, ” said a representative from organiser GHY Culture & Media in a press statement.
“Only tickets purchased through Ticketcharge will be given a full refund.”
