Tan Yee Kew gets friend to run as backup

KUALA LUMPUR: A man wearing a PKR shirt, came to the nomination centre at SMK Wangsa Melawati, to register himself as a candidate at the last minute.
He is apparently a friend of PKR candidate Datin Paduka Dr Tan Yee Kew and her plan B in case Tan's nomination form was not accepted.
The man named See Toh Sun Jang, is believed to contest as independent candidate if Tan's nomination form is rejected.
"He is from my camp. If my nomination form is accepted, he will withdraw from the general elections.
"I was told by the RO that my photocopy IC is accepted but we still have to wait for the RO's official announcement," she said in a brief interview before an EC official ushered the media away.
