BARISAN Nasional’s candidate for Titiwangsa Datuk Seri Johari Ghani has hit out at his PAS counterpart for playing up sensitive issues in campaigning with his promise to remove entertainment outlet Zouk from Jalan Tun Razak if he wins the seat.
“We are living in the 21st century, and Titiwangsa is not in isolation from the rest of country," Johari said.

“If you believe that there are those (among the Malays) patronising Zouk, then the proper thing to do is to educate them. There is no easy way out, like saying that you will shut down the place.
“When it comes to licensing matters and policies, it is up to the local authorities to handle, and we should not get involved," Johari added
