Two teenagers arrested for rape of 13-year-old

BATU PAHAT: Two teenagers – aged 14 and 15 years old – were arrested for allegedly raping and attempting to rape a 13-year-old girl in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Manong, Ayer Hitam, while two other teenagers remain at large.
Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Wahib Musa said that the two who are at large escaped the scene while in the middle of the act on Thursday night.
He said the incident occurred after the girl agreed to meet one of the suspects for dinner at the Parit Raja area, adding that she had told her mother that she was going to a friend’s house for a group study session before leaving home at about 9pm.
He added that the suspect – who she knew through WeChat – and his friends forced her to ride with them to a hut in the plantation.
"She was allegedly raped by one of the suspect's friends while the others waited outside but the deed was interrupted by some villagers nearby who heard them," he said.
ACP Abdul Wahid added that the victim informed her father about the incident and a police report was lodged immediately.
He said that the police have seized two motorcycles and the case was being investigated under Section 376 of the Malaysian Penal Code.
Section 376 defines statutory rape as sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 16 regardless of whether she has given consent.
