PETALING JAYA: The sentencing of two people who pleaded guilty to a bombing incident in a Puchong restaurant has been postponed.

The Petaling Jaya Sessions Court was unable to make a decision Wednesday as one of the accused, Imam Wahyudin Karjono, 21, was not produced in court for undisclosed reasons.

Imam who is from Puchong and Jonius Ondie @ Jahali, 24, from Sabah, were charged with bombing the Movida restaurant in the early hours of June 28.

Judge Azwarnida Affandi set the next mention for Oct 11.

Both accused had earlier admitted attempting to murder eight people in the pub and to having a grenade.

They had pleaded guilty to eight counts of attempted murder under Section 307 of the Penal Code and face up to 30 years in jail.

Eight victims suffered serious injuries in the attack.

They were also charged under Section 8 of the Firearm Act (Heavy Penalty) 1971 with using a hand grenade.

In a separate court, they were charged with two additional two counts of terrorism each under Section 130(c)(1)(b) of the Penal Code for committing terrorist acts and Section 130j(1)(b) for the commission of terrorist acts.
