With Bon Jovi's first shows ever in China kicking off this September, Jon Bon Jovi offered another special gift to Chinese fans - singing the classic romantic Chinese song, The Moon Represents My Heart (in Mandarin), to celebrate Valentine's Day in China!

Few nights at KTV in China are complete without a rousing rendition of a Bon Jovi tune. (At least, that’s true for the foreign side of China Real Time, which has been told its version of “You Give Love a Bad Name” has a passion missing from the original.)
Now, band frontman Jon Bon Jovi is turning the tables by singing one of China’s most beloved love songs – in Mandarin.
In a clip released by Chinese video site Tudou on Qixi, or Chinese Valentine’s Day, the New Jersey-born singer croons “The Moon Represents My Heart,” a ballad made popular in the 1970s by Taiwanese pop star Teresa Teng.
The video’s release comes as Bon Jovi prepares for an Asia tour that will include stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Seoul. It will be the band’s first time performing in mainland China, according to China Radio International.
While it isn’t clear whether Mr. Bon Jovi’s Mandarin fluency is on par with Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg’s, his rendition of the KTV classic won praise from fans online Thursday.
“Bang Shu, this is too considerate of you!” wrote one commenter on the Tudou posting, using a popular nickname for the singer. “I’m brimming with tears.”
Wrote another, referencing the Chinese holiday, “this is without a doubt the best Qixi gift I’ve ever received!”
