JOHOR BARU: A video of a feeble lion allegedly from the Johor Zoo has raised the ire of the people after it went viral on social media.
In a 30-second clip posted by Twitter user @nardnazeer, the video showed the lion hunched and sitting on the grass before it dragged its feet up to take a few steps.
In the video, it could be heard a female voice saying kaki dia sakit lah (its limb is in pain).
The post was retweeted more than 18,000 times.
The video also attracted the attention of Johor princess Tunku Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim.
She thanked those who directed the news about the lion to her attention on her Instagram account.
Her posting received more than 6,800 likes.
Efforts to contact the zoo and relevant authorities are under way.
