PETALING JAYA: A film actress, caught for khalwat (close proximity) in a condominium in Ampang on Sunday, says the case "is settled" but the religious authority thinks otherwise.

Putri Mardiana Zainal Abidin (pix), who acted in Ngangkung, said the case, involving her boyfriend, known as Shahrizam Abdullah, would not be referred to the Syariah court as they had done nothing wrong.
“Everything is settled, because during the raid, nothing happening between us.
"The case will not be referred to Jais (Selangor Islamic Religious Department) or the court,” she told news portal mStar Online.
But when contacted by the news portal, a Jais source said the actress was only released on bail and still has to appear at Jais for further investigations.

“Guilty or not, the court will decide. She has actually been ordered to come to Jais on Wednesday," the source said.
It was reported that the 33-year-old actress, a single mother to three children, was detained by Jais officers at around 3.20am.
The enforcement team reportedly raided the condominium based on information given by a member of the public.
The actress alleged that the raid was "intentionally planned" by her ex-partner and Shahrizam’s ex-wife to embarrass the duo.
“I do not wish to prolong this issue as they are probably satisfied that they managed to embarrass me like this.
“There is no point taking revenge because they will stop once they’re tired,” Putri Mardiana, known popularly as Nina, said.
She is also unfazed by the negative image she has received following the incident.
“People talk, it’s normal. I cannot stop them from saying bad things about me.
“What is most important is that my family and I know what really happened, and that is enough,” she added.
