JOHOR BARU: A pub owner was shot to death on his way to buy food nearby his pub along Jalan Permas 10.

Before he could even get down from his car, two suspects fired three shots to his head before fleeing off.

Johor Baru South OCPD ACP Sulaiman Salleh said that the victim, in his early 40s, was shot in the head around 2.15am on Saturday along Jalan Permas 10 in Permas Jaya here.

"We are currently investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder," he said adding that the victim's body has been sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a post mortem.

It is learnt that victim, known as Kesavan, was managing two pubs in the Johor Baru and had been connected to the infamous 04 gang here.
