Penang's dream of winning the first Malaysian Games men's football gold medal (Sukma) continued to burn when they advanced to the final after beating the Federal Territory 1-0 in a semi-final that was marred by commotion at the end of the match, last night.

Towards the 90th minute, the action turned heated with the Federal Territories player, Muhammad Iman Fakhrullah Zamri, receiving a red card in the 88th minute for kicking an opposing player before the situation became tense when there was a pushing and shoving between the players.
One of the Federal Territories officials was also given a red card after provoking the referee which saw him chasing the referee in the middle of the field after being ordered off.
However, the situation was brought under control with the help of the police before the game resumed and the result remained 1-0 in favor of Penang.
