SINGAPORE, May 26 -- Singapore has preliminarily confirmed an additional 383 COVID-19 cases as of noon today, bringing the total infection to 32,343 with the number of patients recovering as of Monday being 15,738.

The data on new cases showed that only one involves a Singaporean or permanent resident while the rest constitutes migrant workers at dormitories, said the republic’s Ministry of Health (MOH) in a statement here.“The lower number of cases today is partly due to fewer tests being conducted,” said the ministry, adding that it is still working through the details of the cases and further updates would be shared later today.

In full data released late Monday, Singapore classified 1,668 as community cases, 580 as imported cases and 29,712 as foreign workers residing in dorms.

As of yesterday, 607 confirmed cases were still in hospital with eight in critical condition in the intensive care unit, while 23 have die.The ministry said 15,592 patients who have mild symptoms, or clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19, have been isolated and cared for at community facilities.

As there have been no more cases linked to Sembcorp Marine Admiralty Yard at Admiralty Road West for the past two incubation periods, the cluster has now been closed.

No new cluster was identified yesterday while the republic's largest cluster, S11 Dormitory @ Punggol, has a total of 2,680 confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, Singapore's largest dormitory, Sungei Tengah Lodge at 500 Old Choa Chu Kang Road, has a total of 1,955 confirmed cases.
