Ten GROs among 18 arrested in KL nightclub raid

KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested 10 suspected GROs (guest relations officers) during a raid at a nightclub here early Sunday (May 26).
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah said seven people were also arrested after they tested positive for ketamine in the 1.15am raid.
"The proprietor also failed to present a valid licence for the entertainment outlet," ACP Mohd Fahmi said in a statement, adding that the person was remanded.
The GROs, aged between 24 and 35, were remanded for immigration offences.
He added that members of the public with knowledge of such activities are encouraged to inform the authorities.
