JOHOR BARU: Three Johor assemblymen have been sworn as new state executive councillors in front of Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar at Istana Bukit Serene here.

They are Jementah assemblyman Tan Chen Choon from DAP, Tenang assemblyman Mohd Solihan Badri and Bukit Permai assemblyman Tosrin Jarvanthi from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).


They replaced state DAP secretary and Skudai assemblyman Tan Hong Pin and Puteri Wangsa assemblyman Mazlan Bujang.

Bersatu has one more seat in the exco lineup following Dr Sahruddin Jamal's appointment as Mentri Besar.


At the same ceremony, Sultan Ibrahim also conferred the award Darjah Sultan Ibrahim Johor Yang Amat Disanjungi Pangkat Kedua Dato' Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Johor (DMIJ) to Dr Sahruddin, which carries the title Datuk.
