Police investigating Viral Video where Man and family escapes parang-wielding robbers at his home,

SERDANG: A man was swarmed by a group of parang-wielding robbers after they rushed into the compound of his home here, but managed to evade them by running inside and locking the door.

The incident, which happened on Thursday (Feb 21), was caught on three separate videos that showed the robbers barging in after the victim opened the gate of his home.

"On Feb 21 around 5.41pm, the complainant wanted to go out from the house when around four motorcycles ridden by seven men rushed into his compound," said Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan in a statement released on Friday (Feb 22).

"Two of the suspects ran towards the complainant armed with machetes.

"They then broke a window and stabbed the tyre of complainant's car before escaping," he said.

He added that the police were currently studying the CCTV footage of the incident and checks were being conducted to identify the suspects.

"The complainant suffered no injuries and follow-up action to trace these suspects are already underway," he said.
