KUALA LUMPUR: The mother of the late Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis, former science, technology and innovation minister who died in a helicopter crash, has filed for faraid (wealth distribution) certificate at the Syariah court over his RM2.082bil estate.
Aminah Abdullah, 85, filed the application through Messrs Kamar Ainiah & Co on March 2.
The application was brought up for case management before Kuala Lumpur Syariah High Court registrar Siti Zulaiha Mohamad Mansor here on Wednesday (Aug 29).
The case is fixed for another case management on Sept 13.
Jamaluddin's father had passed on before him in 2002.
Syarie lawyer Kamar Ainiah Kamaruzaman said the deceased's wife and children have been informed of the application for faraid certificate.
"The assets include 20 properties in Malaysia, the United States of America and Mecca, Saudi Arabia and companies," she said.
