Emcee and entertainment personality Datuk Mahadzir Lokman, 60, has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU)

PETALING JAYA: Emcee and entertainment personality Datuk Mahadzir Lokman (pic), 60, has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the University Malaya Medical Centre.

A local malay daily quoted Mahadzir's brother, Danial Lokman, as saying that Mahadzir was sent to the hospital early Sunday morning after he was found unconscious.

Mahadzir, who suffers from diabetes, did not respond when the family tried to wake him up and was then given insulin shots.

Danial was quoted as saying that Mahadzir is in critical condition due to lung infection.

He has appealed to friends and relatives to pray for Mahadzir's recovery.
