KUALA LUMPUR: Tourism Malaysia chairman Wee Choo Keong should explain his alleged outburst against AirAsia during an expo in Beijing last week.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai (pic)said Monday that tourism promotion should be done collectively as a nation.

"We should promote the airlines flying in Malaysia.

"It's uncalled for and I would like an explanation from him," Liow said at a press conference at the launch of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Aeropolis.

It was reported that Wee had allegedly lambasted his staff during the 4th China (Beijing) International Tourism Expo 2016 after seeing an AirAsia bunting put up alongside other promotional material at the Tourism Malaysia booth.
