KUCHING: Police are still investigating the case of a girl believed to have been sexually assaulted on Christmas Eve.
According to the mother of the 12-year-old, she found her daughter drunk and alone at their home in a village in Balai Ringin.
“I was shocked to see that her underwear had been pulled down to her knees while her dress was hiked up to her neck,” she told Serian police.
Upon discovering her daughter, the complainant briefly checked the girl before going to the station to lodge the report.
She alleged that the dastardly act could have been performed by a neighbour.
The girl, on the other hand, had been sent to Sarawak General Hospital, for further check-ups and counselling.
