GEORGE TOWN: An AirAsia flight en route to Pulau Langkawi had to make a ‘U-turn’ some 10 minutes after taking off at 4.30pm at the Penang International Airport Sunday.
The flight carrying more than 150 passengers made a return after experiencing some ‘technical issue’ in the mid air.
It is learnt that the pilot made the announcement on flight AK6242.
Sources said the flight eventually took off at 6.15pm and reached its destination at 6.47pm.
