KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7, 2014:
A young woman who broke up with her boyfriend over two months ago, found out that he had been circulating semi-nude pictures of her on the Internet.
Her ex-boyfriend, know as Irfan, even went ‘the extra mile’ by spreading the explicit photos  through  Wechat, a free messaging and calling app, using her own contact number.
NurFathiah Idris told The Rakyat Post that she could not bear the shame as a result of the revenge porn, and described her ex-boyfriend as an ‘animal’ for the violation.
She also said she would never forgive him for what he had done as her entire family also had to bear the shame.
“I do not know where to hide my face because of what he did.
“Even though I was wearing a towel in the photos, it is embarrassing enough,” she said, adding that her ex-boyfriend did so due to her decision to call off the relationship.
Recalling their courtship, NurFathiah said she was attracted to Irfan as he was a romantic person and a “casanova”.
She only knew his dark side on being told by her friends who had been cheated by Irfan.
Her friends had advised her to stay away from him and avoid falling for his smooth talking ways.
NurFathiah claimed she later found out that he was also involved in drug abuse and crime in Johor Baru.
She said several police reports had been lodged over the matter but no action had been taken.
Her mother, Fatimah Ismail, said the police even told her that the ex-boyfriend was the son of an influential family.
“I’m shocked at what the police said.
“It’s as if the ex-boyfriend is immune from the law,” she said.
Fatimah said she had never objected to their relationship until her daughter told her about his dark side.
“I know his family as I used to study under his grandparents.
“I never expected a man from a family whom I respect to have an evil character,” she said.
On Oct 26, The Rakyat Post had reported the disappearance of NurFathiah after she left her aunt’s home in Larkin, Johor Baru and did not return after 24 hours.
The young woman, from Bandar Baru Uda, was later found by her younger brother in a restaurant in Stulang, Johor Baru at 7am the following day.
Police today confirmed with The Rakyat Post that they received a report by a girl that her semi-nude pictures have been leaked online.
Johor Baru Utara police chief ACP Mohd. Khamsani said they were investigating the case for insulting the modesty of a person.
For the record, NurFathiah has consented for her picture to be used.
