BENTONG: Police are tracking down two high-powered motorcyclists who were involved in an accident at Kilometre 43.4 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway near here, as reported on social media.
Bentong District Police Chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said his department viewed the one-minute, 20-second video recording which showed an accident involving three motorcycles in the area.
"Investigations found that in the accident that occurred at 9.45 am this morning (Sunday), the motorcyclist is believed to have lost control before skidding and sliding to the left of the road.
"A motorcyclist involved in the accident was successfully tracked down by the police and suffered injuries to his right leg," he said in a statement today.
Zaiham said an investigation paper has been opened under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
He said two other riders could not be contacted and he asked them to come forward and provide cooperation.
He also asked the public who have information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
