Police Arrest Long Tiger Who Escaped From A Court Lock Up on December 15, in a special operation





 JOHOR BAHRU - After 13 days in hiding, a man of Rohingya descent known as Long Tiger who escaped from the Tangkak Magistrate's Court lock -up near here on December 15 was arrested by the police.


It is understood that Long Tiger or his real name is Abdul Hamim Ab Hamid, 32, was detained in a special operation 


Johor Police Chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay is expected to hold a press conference at the Johor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) here tomorrow.


In the incident at 11.55 am, last December 15, Ab. Hamim managed to escape through the main door of the Tangkak Magistrate's Court before the trial began.


He was taken from Sungai Udang prison, Melaka for trial under Section 388 of the Penal Code. -

Police recently arrested a couple suspected of being accomplices to Long Tiger.

The local couple, aged 41 and 43, were arrested at the Bukit Gambir Police Station at about 12.30am.
