#Showbiz: Janna Nick is ABPBH 34 Most Popular Artiste

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer, actress and television host Janna Nick was named Most Popular Artiste at the 34th edition of Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (ABPBH 34) which took place last night at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL).
"This is so amazing! Thank you all my friends and fans for your love and support," said the 26-year-old artiste who marked her first ABPBH win.
Janna whose real name is Nurul Jannah Muner, managed to garner 86.374,777 million votes at ABPBH 34. She also won a Nissan Navara.
She bagged two other awards namely Popular TV Host and Popular Film Actress.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council and Health Ministry were strictly followed.
The other 12 trophies for the main categories were presented during the event where the winners were identified based on the highest number of online votes by Berita Harian readers from Oct 4 to Nov 7.
Newcomer Asif Suhaimi won the Popular Comedic Artiste award while Khai Bahar and Aina Abdul clinched the Popular Artiste Collaboration/Duo/Group.
Siti Nordiana once again received the Popular Versatile Artiste award and Popular Xiaomi Malaysia Female Singer award, while Haqiem Rusli defended his Popular Xiaomi Malaysia Male Singer title.
Dinie Rashid and Dolla won Popular New Male Artiste and Popular New Female Artiste, respectively.
The Popular Film Actor award went to Fattah Amin.
Ben Amir once again took home Popular TV Actor while Siti Saleha Baharom was once again the Popular TV Actress.
DJ Lin took home the Popular Radio Announcer award, while veteran songwriter Datuk Habsah Hassan was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ejen Ali won the new Popular Animated Character award.
The winners for the other categories included Kamal Adli and Uqasha Senrose (Perempuan Tanpa Dosa) for Popular Drama Duo, PU Riz and Wanna Ali (Ada Apa Dengan Dosa) for Popular Film Duo, and Liza Abdullah (7 Hari Mencintaiku 2) for Popular Antagonist.
The three-hour ceremony which began at 9pm featured duet and group performances by Khai Bahar, Stacy, Vanessa Reynauld, Kmy Kmo, Nicole Lai, Kaka Azraff, Ella, Fauziah Latif, Wani Kayrie, Aina, Man Kidal, Datuk Zainal Abidin, Hazama, Haqiem, Ramlah Ram, Jay Jay, Syamel, Anuar Zain and Azman Naim.
ABPBH 34, sponsored by Xiaomi Malaysia, also saw celebrity couple Awal Ashaari and Scha Alyahya perform the Chinese multinational electronics company's theme song, Xiaomi For Me!
Presenters for the awards included Dr Malar, Riena Diana, Nabila Huda Suhaimi, Ahmad Fedtri Yahya, Zara Zya, Fizo Omar and Cheah Liek Hou.
Hosted by Sherry Alhadad, the event was organised to honour Malaysian artistes and provide the opportunity for fans to choose the most popular amongst them.

M. Leong, Xiaomi Malaysia and Singapore country manager Nicolas Shi, Xiaomi Southeast Asia head of marketing Jess Lee, and Xiaomi Malaysia marketing manager Lee Chee Wai.
ABPBH 34 was aired and streamed live on TV3, tonton, the YouTube channels of TV3 and Berita Harian (BH), the ABPBH website (www.abpbh.com.my) and the TikTok application.
