FIVE massage parlours in Kepong were shut down by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for operating without a licence.

They were also suspected of providing sexual services to local and foreign customers.

However, authorities did not find any masseuse at the premises during the Banteras Aktiviti Haram or Ops Bah 2.0.

Operation head Osman Ismail said the premises had been raided before, most recently at the end of last year.

“We sealed off the premises but they were back in operation after three months.

“The masseuse are believed to be from Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

“The centre’s operators might have been tipped off about our operation,” he said.

Lubricants and condoms were also found at the premises.

During the raid, partitions were also torn down.

“One of the massage parlours along Jalan Metro Perdana 3 sealed its front door to make it look like an abandoned shoplot.

“Customers come in through the back door,” said Osman, adding it was a common modus operandi.

This year, 15 premises in Kuala Lumpur have so far been raided by authorities under Ops Bah.
