The second plane part found on the French Indian Ocean island of Réunion may be part of Flight MH370, says Deputy Transport Minister

Debris most likely from MH370

KUALA LUMPUR: The second plane part found on the French Indian Ocean island of Réunion may be part of Flight MH370, says Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ab Aziz Kaprawi.
Based on the calculations over the drift of all debris, it should be around that area, he said.
“That is to say that any debris found in that area is tentatively, possibly, from MH370. And it would be verified later on,” he told reporters at Parliament lobby here yesterday.
The object measuring about 40 by 20cm was found by the seashore last Thursday.
The square-shaped grey item with a blue border was discovered by Johny Begue, the same man who found a piece of plane debris near the same spot on July 29, last year.
Back then, he saw a wing fragment (flaperon) which has since been identified as part of the missing aircraft.
So far, that remained the only confirmed fragment of the plane.
Begue found the flaperon while cleaning the beach. He told AFP that he had been combing the island’s shores ever since.
“When there’s bad weather, it’s when you should look; when the sea tosses up a lot of stuff,” he said.
Late last month, American tourist Blaine Gibson found a piece of skin from a horizontal stabiliser, washed up off the coast of Mozambique, 2,100km west of Reunion Island.
Ab Aziz said a three-man team from Malaysia had been sent to Mozambique to verify whether it was also from MH370. Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the Government was awaiting verification of two more pieces discovered in Mozambique and Reunion Island.
On the morning of March 8, 2014, Flight MH370 carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members, disappeared on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
