SHAH ALAM: Robbers in a Mercedes Benz snatched RM400,000 in salary payments from a contractor outside his home in Section U13 here.
OCPD Asst Comm Shafien Mamat said the victim had withdrawn the money from a bank and kept it in an unassuming looking laptop bag, before driving home.
The victim, who was with his father and a relative, had parked his car outside his house at about 1.30pm on Thursday when the suspects pulled up in the Mercedes.
ACP Shafien said three suspects in masks got out of the car, brandishing parang and demanded that the victim hand over the bag. The victim handed over the money and the robbers drove off.

The CCTV at the guardhouse of the gated community captured the robbers' car with the number plate BNG5023 leaving the area.
ACP Shafien said police are tracking down the vehicle and that the case was being investigated for armed gang robbery.
