Police have arrested a former Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) adviser who is a 'tan sri' and an Attorney-General's (AG) Chambers officer.

This is in relation to the special task force's investigation into 1MDB, according to The Star.

The special task force, comprising the police, MACC, Bank Negara and coordinated by the AG Chambers, is among others, looking at claims that RM2.6 billion was deposited into the private bank accounts of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

However, the special task force's probe has been hampered by the sacking of attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail while investigators have been accused os trying to topple the government.
