KOTA KINABALU, April 24 — A lawyer was found dead, believed due to breathing difficulties, after he tried to save three pet puppies which fell into a hole in Kampung Pisang Babah, Penampang, near here yesterday.In the incident which occurred at 7am, the victim, Jay Jeffrey Linjungan, 26, was believed to have been trapped in the hole which was about one metre deep, five hours before his body was found by his brother at 11am.
Penampang district police chief DSP Ratan Kumar Singh, when contacted, confirmed the incident and classified the case as sudden death.
He said the victim was immediately sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) and confirmed dead at 1pm. — Bernama
