SEPANG: The manager of the travel agency company, Hafizul Hawari, who was involved in the shooting incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1, was brought to the Sessions Court here on Tuesday.

It is for the proceedings of two cases of trying to kill his wife and causing serious injury to a bodyguard, last April.

According to the first charge, he is accused of trying to kill the businesswoman, Farah Md Isa, 38, at the arrival hall of the airport, at 1.09am, on April 14.

The charge is made in accordance with Section 307 of the Penal Code which carries a prison sentence of 10 years and a fine, but if causing injury must be imprisoned for up to 20 years, if convicted.

For the second charge, the father of seven was charged with intentionally causing serious injury to Mohd Nur Hadith Zaini, 38, at the same location, time and date.

For the case in question, the charge is made according to Section 326 of the Penal Code which carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years and a fine or whipping, if convicted

This was the first mention of the case since he was charged here on April 25.


On April 25, he pleaded not guilty to two charges in the Sessions Court of attempting to murder businesswoman Farah and seriously injuring the bodyguard on the third level of KLIA at 1.09am on April 14.

The charges were under Sections 307 and 326 of the Penal Code.

On April 24, Hafizul was also slapped with seven charges in the Kota Baru Sessions Court, among them for possession of a gun, ammunition, and firecrackers, three MyKad belonging to different individuals, and driving a car bearing a fake registration number near a private hospital in the district at 2pm on April 15.

He was denied bail for the charges of possessing the gun, ammunition, and firecrackers but granted bail amounting to RM20,000 for the other four charges.
