KUALA LUMPUR: The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (KUSKOP) is aiming to increase the number of entrepreneurs by 20 per cent with the merging of four existing e-commerce platforms under the ministry via the creation of the MyMall digital platform.

Its Minister, Tan Sri Noh Omar said there were 4,000 local entrepreneurs currently, including mirco, small and medium industries, as well as traders registered under his ministry and using one of the four e-commerce platforms.

The four platforms are ODELA by SME Bank; Pybli by Perbadanan Nasional Bhd (Pernas); Angsana Virtual Mall by UDA Holdings Berhad (UDA) and WarongKu, owned by Idea Creative Technology Sdn Bhd (ICTSB).

"MyMall merges all four e-platforms, ODELA, Pybli, Angsana Virtual Mall and WarongKu. Through the merger, users, both entrepreneurs and buyers, will have easier access to e-commerce services under the ministry.

"The merger will create a wider market for local entrepreneurs and offer more choices to consumers," he told reporters after launching the MyMall Digital Platform at a hotel near here today.

Noh said the development of MyMall will be implemented in four phases and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023 at the latest.

According to him, the first phase beginning today involved the initial integration for all four platforms.

"The next phase will see the platform being upgraded as an information centre for entrepreneurs to access information pertaining to financing, training or development for capacity, marketing and implementation as well as entrepreneurial psychometric test implementation," he said.

He added that his ministry will coordinate the minimum charge rates to entrepreneurs and consumers without any hidden charges.
