Malaysian Mixed Doubles pair Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing ended their five-year wait for a title when they won the Korea Open in Suncheon.

In the final, the world No 10, who have not dropped a single game this week, defeated local pair and sixth seeds Ko Sung Hyun-Eom Hye Won 21-15, 21-18 to win their maiden Super 500 title.

Kian Meng-Pei Jing, who last tasted success at the 2017 Malaysia Masters, are also the only Malaysians after Lee Chong Wei (2010, 2012, 2013) to win the Korea Open title since the tournament's inception in 1991.

Kian Meng-Pei Jing pocketed US$28,440 (RM120,000) for their win, while Sung Hyun-Hye Won settled for US$13,680 (RM58,000).
