Police issued RM150,000 worth of compound notices for Covid-19 SOP violations after raiding two entertainment outlets in Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Bukit Bintang

 

 A total of 150 visitors to an entertainment center were compounded and two men were arrested for violating standard operating procedures (SOP) Phase 4 of the National Rehabilitation Plan (PPN) in a raid on two premises around Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Bukit Bintang, late last night.

Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the separate raids was carried out by a police team from the Dang Wangi Criminal Investigation Division at 12.30pm.

"The results of the first raid found that a total of 12 visitors consisting of five men and five women as well as two foreign men aged between 18 to 45 years old were entertaining.


"The 10 individuals were compounded including the premises manager of RM1,000 per visitor while the two foreign men involved were detained under Section 6 (1) (c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63," he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Noor Dellhan informed that through the second raid, the police managed to issue a compound against 140 visitors to the entertainment center.

“A total of 70 men and 70 women visitors between the ages of 18 to 65 have been compounded by RM1,000 each.


He said the public was advised to continue to comply with the SOPs set by the National Security Council and the monitoring operations of entertainment centers in the capital would be further enhanced.
