Assistant lorry driver has been sentenced to five years in jail for breaking into the house of Federal Court Justice Balia Yusuf Wahi

KUALA LUMPUR: An assistant lorry driver has been sentenced to five years in jail for breaking into the house of Federal Court Justice Balia Yusuf Wahi and stealing more than RM10,000 worth of belongings.

Sessions Court Judge Shamsudin Abdullah meted out the sentence against 22-year-old Ahmad Norfais Ishak after he pleaded guilty to the charge on Monday.

Judge Shamsudin ordered the sentence to run from Oct 23, the day Ahmad Norfais was arrested.

The accused was charged with breaking into Justice Balia’s house and stealing more than RM10,000 in belongings.

The offence was committed at 6.10am on Oct 22.
