Police raid Sanjeevan’s house, luxury car and motorbikes seized




PETALING JAYA: A police raid at MyWatch chairman Datuk R. Sri Sanjeevan’s (pic)house in Kajang resulted in the seizure of his red BMW EX6 and four motorcycles.

An online news portal reported that a team of police from Bukit Aman raided Sanjeevan’s home and seized the assets in an operation that lasted between 3.10pm and 4.30pm Wednesday.

It was reported that the seized assets, comprising three Demak EX90 and a Yamaha Ego, are currently being kept by the police in Cheras.

According to the report, two police officers and 10 personnel from the Special Tactical Squad 3 that was responsible for investigating Sanjeevan under Section 45 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) were part of the raid.



ASP Faizal Maamor was quoted in the report as saying that Sanjeevan’s bank account had been frozen by authorities.

Sanjeevan was reported as saying that he would bring the matter to court if he does not receive an apology from the police for “crashing” and “smashing” the awning of his porch.

He claimed that the seizure left him with nothing, including a vehicle to move around.

“I think this is one of their ways to bully whistleblowers like me,” he was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, STAGG (Special Task Force for Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism) director Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Rodwan Mohd Yusof confirmed that it was a raid conducted in connection with an offence under AMLA.

Sanjeevan and his driver, an Indian national, were detained under Section 506, and Sections 384 and 385 of the Penal Code for alleged criminal intimidation and extortion near the Nilai toll plaza on June 22.

He was arrested following a police report lodged by a complainant that the suspect threatened to slander him through Facebook.Sanjeevan also claimed trial to two counts of hiring an illegal worker and committing extortion at the Sessions Court, Temerloh magistrate’s court and magistrate’s court in Seremban, Negri Sembilan.
