ALOR SETAR : Tengku Raudzah Sultan Hisamuddin, the consort of the Raja Muda of Kedah Tunku Abdul Malik ibni Sultan Badlishah, passed away at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah at about 10am on Monday.
It is understood that the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong are flying to Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Alor Setar.
They will to go to the Istana Anak Bukit to pay their last respects.
Tengku Raudzah Sultan Hisamuddin was married to Tunku Abdul Malik on 16 July 1956 at Istana Bukit Kota, Alor Setar.
After Tunku Malik was crowned as the Raja Muda of Kedah in 1981, she became the Raja Puan Muda of Kedah.
The State Government will issue official statements over the arrangements for the royal burial shortly.
