Bangladeshi man returns home to find girlfriend raped, murdered
KLANG: A Bangladeshi woman was murdered in a late afternoon incident at a third floor shophouse in Jalan Batu Tiga Lama near here.
The unnamed woman is also believed to have been raped by her alleged murderer who is also a Bangladeshi.
According to police, the 31-year-old woman had returned home after having lunch with her boyfriend, also a Bangladeshi.
Her boyfriend, who returned home after 2.30pm was shocked to find a stranger in the house.
The intruder ran and the boyfriend gave chase, thinking that the assailant was a burglar.
However, passers-by managed to apprehend the shirtless man, and the victim's boyfriend returned to their rented apartment and found the woman dead and stripped of her clothes in her bedroom.
North Klang Police chief ACP Mohamad Shukur Sulong said initial investigations indicated that the woman had been strangled with a bed sheet.
The victim's remains were sent to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) for a post-mortem.
ACP Mohamad Shukur said the 32-year-old was in police custody and the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
