PETALING JAYA: Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has announced that the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour are postponed until further notice, officially answering the question of whether his live concert in Kuala Lumpur this month would still happen.

The concert was scheduled to take place at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil on Oct 22.

According to representative PR Worldwide, all global tour dates up to and including March 25, 2023 are affected by this latest development, with potential new dates for the KL concert “subject to venue and date availability”.

Malaysian concertgoers are welcome to hold on to their tickets until further notice or may submit a request for a refund, the organiser tweeted early this morning. A 14-day window opens from today for refund requests.

The tour – originally planned for 2020 but delayed due to the pandemic – kicked off in San Diego in February, and would have seen the “Peaches” singer perform in North and South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, across 100 dates this year and next.

However, on Sept 6, Bieber wrote on Twitter that he would be taking a break from touring due to health issues. “I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better,” he told fans.

In June, the 28-year-old had made public his battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a rare condition that resulted in his partial facial paralysis.

PR Worldwide presents a few options for the fans with tickets to the concert previously scheduled for 22 October

Starting today until 20 October, the organiser will be opening a 14-day window for ticket holders to submit a request to retain or refund the ticket through a Request Form that will be sent to the registered emails used at the time of purchase.

If you choose to retain your ticket, no additional cost will be incurred and a new ticket will be issued at the announcement of a potential new date, subject to venue and date availability.

However, for those planning to opt for a refund, the organiser announced that they will not be returning a full refund

"Only the face value of the tickets will be refunded as per the purchase terms and conditions. Ticket fees, processing fees, and bank charges will not be refunded," PR Worldwide stated in their Instagram post.

The refund may take up to 30 days depending on the processing bank. If the refund is not complete by 21 November, ticket holders can email them
