The government brought in Ahmad Idham, Eizlan Yusof to Wisma Putra

Two experienced art activists, Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri and Eizlan Yusof joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring culture, music and film to the eyes of the world.
Former chief executive officer of the Malaysian National Film Development Corporation (Finas), Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri was appointed as the cultural secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs effective today.
Producer and actor Dato Seri Eizlan Yusof was appointed as the creative consultant.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato Saifuddin Abdullah at Wisma Putra, Putrajaya
Saifuddin said Ahmad Idham was appointed because he had 25 years of extensive experience in the creative industry, including winning an international award at the Chunsa Korea Film Festival in 2018.
According to him, Eizlan was appointed because of his abilities, he is no stranger in the industry and has served in various capacities and won various awards at the local and international levels.
“Their appointment is in line with the objective of developing Malaysian Cultural Diplomacy under the Malaysian foreign policy framework. It is for the purpose of creating new ways of showcasing national identity and values, while displaying the value of cultural diversity as well as encouraging the promotion and exchange of culture.
“To promote Malaysian Cultural Diplomacy, the Arts and Culture Committee (ARCA) will be established under the minister's office to strengthen efforts in placing Malaysian art as an effective channel in promoting the country's historical and cultural heritage.
"I am confident that Ahmad Idham and Eizlan can carry out their responsibilities with dedication and success," he said.
