KLANG: Police arrested a man in the area on Monday after allegedly raping his sister
South Klang Deputy Police Chief Superintendan Rahmat Ariffin said the 22-year-old victim claimed in the incident in August 2018 she had been raped by her brother at about 1am at their home in Klang.
She said the victim also claimed to have been raped several times after the incident. "The victim, who worked as a restaurant assistant, is said to have informed her mother and father of the incident, but they did not believe her," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
He said, acting as a result of the information, a team of police from the Criminal Investigation Division of the South Klang District Police Headquarters (IPD) led by Inspector Khairul Shahril arrested the 24-year-old suspect about 11pm on Monday.
He said the suspect, who worked as a construction worker, had been remanded in custody until February 7 for further investigation.
"The case is investigated under Section 376B of the Penal Code," he said.
